In a world turned into a frozen wasteland by the "Ice Witch," resources are scarce and cannibalism has become a tool for survival. Agni and his sister Luna are "Blessed" with the power of regeneration, which they use to feed their starving village by harvesting their own limbs. Their lives are shattered when a soldier named Doma uses his inextinguishable flames to incinerate the village. While everyone else dies, Agni’s regeneration is so fast that he cannot perish; instead, he is trapped in a state of perpetual agony, burning alive for years until he learns to control his muscles through the pain. Now a living torch, Agni sets out across the snow to find Doma, becoming a reluctant god to some and a monster to others in a world that has lost its mind.
