Following the mysterious disappearance of his parents, Chen Ge is left with only a failing haunted house in a struggling amusement park. While cleaning out his parents' old belongings, he discovers a mysterious, cracked black phone. This phone acts as a "Haunted House System," providing him with daily missions, side quests, and "Trial Missions" that require him to visit actual haunted locations and solve real-life urban legends.
As Chen Ge completes these terrifying tasks, he unlocks new, increasingly realistic horror scenarios for his attraction and "recruits" the restless spirits he encounters to work for him. However, the missions quickly escalate from simple scares to life-or-death encounters with serial killers and powerful malevolent specters. As his haunted house becomes the most famous and terrifying attraction in the world, Chen Ge begins to uncover the truth behind his parents' disappearance and the dark, forgotten secrets of his own childhood.
